Van Nuys, CA – Motion Control – Components -– Moticont has released the miniature GVCM-016-019-01M Linear Voice Coil Servo Motor.  Smaller in diameter than a US Dime this 15.9 mm (0.625 in.) diameter Servo motor, also called an Electric Cylinder, features a high force-to-size ratio of 1.5 N (5.3 oz) continuous force and 4.6 N (16.6 oz) of peak force.  The compact housing is just 19.1 mm (0.63 in.) long and in the fully extended position the shaft extends 20.0 mm (0.79 in.) beyond the face of the housing.  The end of the shaft has an M2.2X0.45 thread by 4.0 mm long for backlash free connections. The current flowing through the coil assembly interacts with the permanent magnetic field and generates a force vector perpendicular to the direction of the current. The SDLM-051-095-01-05 is a powerful, compact linear actuator measuring just 2.00 in. (50.8 mm) in diameter and 3.75 in. (95.3 mm) long. It has a 1.0 in. (25.4 mm) stroke and features a resolution of 5 microns (0.000197 in.).
