Motion Control – Zero Cogging Electric Cylinder

Van Nuys, CA – Motion Control – Components -– Moticont has added another non-commutated linear actuator to its DDLM series of low cost actuators. This new DDLM-019-070-01 Linear Actuator can develop 10.1 oz (2.8 N) of continuous force and 32.1 oz (8.9 N) of peak force at 10% duty cycle.  Having a stroke of 0.960 in. (24.4 mm), this clean, fully enclosed linear actuator, also referred to as an electric cylinder is ideal for use in critical medical applications.   Measuring just 0.750 in. (19.1 mm) in. diameter with a housing length of 2.750 in. (44.5 mm) long, this zero cogging, bi-directional actuator is easily integrated into new and existing applications.  Each end of the shaft is threaded for direct coupling of the actuator to the load resulting in zero backlash allowing for smooth, high speed positioning, and high acceleration/deceleration resulting in greater throughput.

Motion Control – Long Stroke Voice Coil Motor!

Van Nuys, CA — Motion Control – Moticont has added a 0.750 in. (19.1 mm) diameter (smaller than a US Quarter) Linear Voice Coil Motor, to their expanding line of voice coil or moving coil motors. The LVCM-019-048-02 Linear Voice Coil Motor is a true servo motor featuring zero cogging, high accuracy, and high repeatability when operated in a closed position loop.  Voice Coil Motors (also referred to as actuators) are clean, quiet, efficient, brushless high speed linear servo motors.

  This small LVCM-019-048-02 diameter actuator has a 1.500 in (38.1 mm) stroke length and a high-force-to-size ratio of 7.4 oz (2.1 N) and a peak force of 23.5 oz. (6.5 N) at 10% duty cycle.

The SDLM-051-095-01-05 is a powerful, compact linear actuator measuring just 2.00 in. (50.8 mm) in diameter and 3.75 in. (95.3 mm) long. It has a 1.0 in. (25.4 mm) stroke and features a resolution of 5 microns (0.000197 in.).

The integral, linear optical quadrature encoder is directly connect to the shaft for the greatest possible bandwidth and accuracy and is protected by the housing. This fully enclosed linear motor features a continuous force rating of 7.6 lbs (33.9 N) and a peak force of 24.1 lbs. (107.2 N) at 10% duty cycle.
